Vascular lesions are a common type of skin blemish that often occur on the legs. The reasons for this are varied: vein fragility, high blood pressure, trauma, excessive alcohol consumption, sedentary lifestyle, age, pregnancy, and genetics.
With the new aesthetic technology, they can be successfully treated, as CANDELA GentleMaxPro Plus offers a faster, easier procedure, although it all depends on the size of the lesion. Standard types of vascular lesions include spider veins and telangiectasis. Pulses of laser light are applied directly to the entire area of the blemish. Side effects are minimal, as patients may experience mild discomfort or redness in the area.
Small vascular lesions can often be removed in a single treatment, while other lesions may require multiple treatments to become less visible. Regardless, most patients see a significant improvement in appearance after three to five sessions.
